FISH THE GREAT SALMON RIVER!
Fishing Report - September 22, 2013 - Sorry it has been a while since the last river report. I have not done a lot of trout fishing the past 6 weeks. I got on the water yesterday for a few hours. Water tempterature was 62 degrees and water levels were very favorable for fishing. I landed 6 trout and lost a few others. All of the fish were caught on underwaters flies. I tried a dry fly for a little while, but had no luck. Fishing is open on the Salmon River until October 15, 2013. The next few weeks should offer good action. Please remember to practice catch and release fishing. Visit the photos section of this Internet site to see a few pictures of the river clean up held on September 21, 2013. The river banks should look a lot better for your next trip on the water. Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped. Happy fishing! John
